Concrete Structure Basics

Learn the what, where, and a little bit of the why. This course breaks down concrete structures and what's inside them.

A few more words about this course

Understanding GPR without understanding concrete structures is absolutely pointless.

Scanning concrete embedded targets generate RG Features on a radargram. Great, but what are those targets? Understanding concrete structures is an absolute must for GPR-C Technicians. This course teaches not only the components of concrete structures, but what's embedded inside.
It's not enough to know the what - the list of the types of structural and service embedments. A GPR-C Technician also has to understand the where to expect them and in what patterns.

This knowledge is critical to the 3rd knowledge block "Procedures".  Most procedures involve matching collected radargram to expected radargrams. If the technician doesn't know what targets to expect, their significance, and just as important, where to expect them, then they won't know what radargrams to expect. And if that's the case, then the technician isn't a technician - they're just a worker with a scanner.
