Frequently asked questions
WHERE are the courses held?
All our courses are fully online. We do not hold onsite training. Showing a live demonstration of scanning one slab type with one configuration of embedments adds little to no value, and constrains the training schedule/availability.
WHEN are the courses held?
All our courses are fully on-demand. This means you can take them anytime of day or night, and break them up in as many sessions as convenient. The only restriction is the 3 week access to the course once the purchase is made. 3 weeks is more than enough time to take any of our training bundles since the longest bundle takes just a little over a day, and some people finish it in less than one day!
Do you offer training on the use of GPR for Utility Locating?
Yes and No. Although our training is focused on GPR for the concrete cutting and coring industry, it requires a firm grasp of GPR from first principles, and so does Utility Locating.
Our GPR Fundamentals bundle teaches GPR only. This knowledge is necessary for any application of GPR. For concrete scanners, we then teach concrete structure basics. After that, we teach the procedures on how to scan those concrete structures by applying what the technician learned in GPR Fundamentals. A utility locator won't need those courses so we recommend the GPR Fundamentals bundle.
GPR-C Procdures 1 could also be of interest to other field, including utility locating, because it shows how the procedures are built from the first principles of GPR. In that case we would recommend the Core Essentials bundle.

How difficult is it?
It's not rocket science, but it's also not as simple as a taking a picture with a camera. The radargrams have to be interpreted and procedures have to be followed. That's where we come in. We make it easy for the technician to learn how GPR works, and the procedures to scan correctly, and scan with confidence.
